Survey Clerk- SFO- Early morning shifts

San Francisco, CA · Marketing/Public Relations

Survey Clerk at SFO – Market Research

Love being out and about? Our market research client is looking for personable staff to conduct surveys post-security at San Francisco International Airport (SFO).

Pay: $27–$30/hr + 1.5 hours of paid transportation time per shift. (Includes transportation reimbursement or free parking).

Schedule & Commitment

  • Hours: Early AM to early afternoon (starting at 6:30 a.m.).

  • Days: 2days per week (Must include either a Saturday or Sunday).

  • Duration: Candidates must commit to at least 3–4 months.

  • Timeline: Paid training and fingerprinting in February; assignment begins in March. Projects typically run in quarterly cycles with a 1–2 week break between them.

The Role

You will ask travelers a short series of curated questions via a tablet (iPad). Your primary focus is data collection; while you should be polite, you are not a guest ambassador and if asked, will direct travelers seeking flight or luggage assistance to the appropriate airport staff.

Requirements

  • Security: Must pass a federal background check (requires an in-person fingerprinting appointment).

  • Health: Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including boosters, if eligible) per client policy.

  • Communication: Comfortable interacting with large volumes of people. Bilingual skills (Cantonese, Mandarin, or Spanish) are a plus but not required.

  • Traits: Organized, dependable, and able to follow strict protocols and schedules. You should be confident approaching strangers but do not need to be a "people person."
